    brown rice , long grain, rinsed
  • 2.5 cup
    water

    Place rice in a fine-mesh strainer and rinse under cold water until well drained.

    Pour the rice into the Instant Pot.

    Add the water and stir to combine, making sure all rice is submerged and none is stuck to the sides.

    Close the Instant Pot lid and turn the steam valve to the sealing position.

    Set the Instant Pot to pressure cook (manual) at high pressure for 22 minutes.

    When the cook time finishes, let the pressure naturally release for 10 minutes.

    Carefully turn the steam valve to the venting position and let the remaining steam escape.
