Sautéed Chard

Quick, garlicky sautéed Swiss chard brightened with a squeeze of lemon—a simple, healthy side that comes together in minutes.

Ingredients

  • 2 bunch
    swiss chard , stems and leaves separated, stems sliced 1/4-inch, leaves coarsely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon
    olive oil
  • 2
    garlic clove , thinly sliced
  • 0.25 teaspoon
    sea salt , more to taste
  • lemon , cut into a wedge, for squeezing
  • black pepper , freshly ground, to taste

    Slice the stems off the chard leaves and chop the stems into 1/4-inch slices.

    Coarsely chop the chard leaves.

    Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

    Add the chard stems and cook until they begin to soften.
